How To Sanitize RV Fresh Water Holding Tank

by Anonymous

I have read about adding bleach to the fresh water tank to sanitize it and (hopefully) get rid of bad odors. I have a 2003 Coachman Mirada and do not know how to get the bleach into the fresh water tank. Can you explain how to I would go about doing this?

ANSWER: Thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. In this case a video is worth a lot more. Take a look at the video below from RVing Expert Mark Polk on what you need to do to sanitize your RV's Fresh Water System.

Funnel?
by: Anonymous

What is he using to fill the water tank with the bleach mixture? It looks like a funnel but his hand is in the way and you can't see how it fits into the tank inlet.
