I Want To Buy A 1988 Winnebago Superchief RV Is This A Good Buy?

I am looking to purchase a 1988 winnebago superchief. the price is $ 6500.00 is this worth buying? I know is a Chevy engine with 69,000 miles. Help with some input I am not sure if this would be a good buy.

You do not tell me the length of this Class A Motorhome. The Superchief came in 3 lengths that year 27', 31' and 34'. So, as far as price goes based on the mileage and the year of this RV it is priced in the midrange. I have searched for the same year and model RV on the internet and I found some that are selling for less and some that are selling for more.

What you pay for a used RV should be based on a few main points.

1. The age of the RV.
2. The mileage on the RV.
3. The overall condition of the RV.
4. What accessories are on the RV.

Right now you are looking at an RV that is over 20 years old, so it is very important that you do not jump right in to buying it, because you like it. You need to do some research and you also need to perform a used RV Inspection to ensure that the RV is in good shape and that you won't have any expensive repair surprises going down the road.

Again, I do not know the size of the RV you are looking at and I also do not know what it is equipped with. But you should take a moment and go to NADA Guides and check to see if this RV is priced right based on year, mileage, equipment, etc.
