Where Can I Find The Hot Water Heater Switch On My RV?

by KEN
(COLQUITT, GA.)

I am trying to locate the cut on switch for the hot water heater in a 1997 Coachmen Catalina. Looked all in the camper but must be overlooking it, please help.

ANSWER: Greetings Ken thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am not sure where you have looked for the switch at, but one place you might try looking is on the back wall of the cabinet under the Kitchen Sink. Believe it or not that is a common place where Manufacturers put those switches.

That being said, the best way to find out for sure is by contacting Coachmen RV at (800) 453-6064. You will need the year and model number of your RV when you contact them.

I hope that this information helps.

ASSISTANCE
by: KEN

thank you for your prompt assistance with the hot water heater problem, that is probably the only place i haven't looked. oh, do you have a section on replacing the gas hot water to electric? thanks again for all the assistance.

Comment From RVing Al: Ken, they make RV combo Water Heaters that can work on either electric or Propane, but they do not make electric only RV Water Heaters. I do not have a page on how to install a new water heater in your RV. When it comes to that type of installation it is better to have a Certified RV Technician perform the work.

Hope this helps.
