Wildwood Ultra Lite Travel Trailer Floor Is Sagging

by Anonymous

2010 Ultra Lite Travel Trailer Wildwood floor sags after I-Beam frame.

ANSWER: Thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

With the limited information you have provided me I have no way of telling you why the floor on your Travel Trailer is sagging. The problem could be caused by water damage to the floor or could even be a manufacturer’s defect.

Considering how new this travel trailer is you should not have a sagging floor. Whether your Travel Trailer is still under warranty or not I would suggest that you contact the RV Dealer that sold it to you and setup an appointment to have them take a look at it and determine what the problem is.

If the dealer is no longer in business or if you feel that they are not being helpful in fixing the problem, then I suggest that you contact Forest River Incorporated the manufacturer of your Travel Trailer. You can call Forest River at 574-389-4600.

I would also be interested to hear from any other RVers that have this brand trailer to find out if they are experiencing the same problem as you are.

Please leave a comment on this page and let us know what you find out.

Sorry that I could not be of more help.

Sagging Floor on Wildwood 17EXL
by: Anonymous

I had the same problem with my 2010 Wildwood 17EXL floor. It started sagging near the shower and upon further examination, the floor sagged into the kitchen as well. I took it to a dealer I didn't buy the trailer from who in turn contacted Forest River. Forest River came and picked up the trailer, removed all of the flooring and fixed everything for me, including items that I didn't realize needed fixing (e.g., installing gutter extensions outside at all four corners, replacing the tires, etc.). They are a great company to work with!

Basically, we have a brand new trailer at this point and continue to love it.

We have a 2009 wildwood with major sagging and water damage. We are contacting forest river tomorrow. The dealership we bought it from went out of business.

Manufacturing defect
by: Anonymous

Hi folks, I had the same problem with my 2010 Wildwood 17exl. After much haggling I sent it back to Forest River, they stated that the underbelly was not properly wrapped during the manufacturing process.

Their solution was to replace the floor and any damaged wood.

Hope this helps.

Sagging floor
by: Anonymous

Just a quick follow up on my 2011 28bhxl. I contacted forest river about my problem and they agreed to replace my floor. They offered me a discount on a new, more expensive trailer so I took that deal and traded my old(2011) 28bhxl. I was satisfied with the deal a got in the end. my advise to anyone with any problems would be to contact forest river themselves even if the dealer made you an offer. One more thing , never except the first thing they offer because there is always something a little extra to gain from a little fight. lol

i have a wildwood 28bh x-lite. it has the same problem. the floor is saging and upon further inspection the floor is very wet. the floor is made from press wood not plywood and after getting wet it has swollen. the beams are also too far apart for the type of material used(press wood). my warranty is out by only a couple of weeks and the response from my dealer is not that impressive.
