Can The Power Steering Pump On My Ford Explorer Be Damaged When Being Towed Behind An RV?

by James Calloway
(Tn)

Has anyone ever had a power steering pump problem , because of towing behind a rv. I have a ford 2007 evplorer, with 35,000 miles on it of which 5000, are from flat towing.

ANSWER: Greetings James thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I have not heard of a power steering pump being damaged on a vehicle being towed by a motorhome.

I will open this up to our visitors to see if any of them have heard of this happening.
