Freezing Fresh Water Tank on 1996 Winnebago Grand Tour

by Alan Bates
(Florida)

I plan on taking a trip out west in Nov. I found the fresh water tank is under the motor home in a metal box with insulation inside. Is there a heat duct that blows in that box from basement heat? Any help please

Alan

ANSWER: Greetings Alan thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am afraid that I do not know for sure if your Winnebago has heated holding tanks or not. The best way to find out is by contacting Winnebago Industries directly and they can tell you for sure.

If you still have the original owner's manual for the Motorhome it would also have that information for you.

If you find out that you do not have heater ducts going to your holding tanks there are Holding Tank Heater Blankets available that can be used to prevent the holding tanks on your Motorhome from freezing.

I hope that this helped.
