Favorite RV Kitchen Accessories

We posed the following question to our Everything-About-RVing.com Facebook Page Fans: Aside from the Kitchen Appliances and Accessories your RV already has what is the one Kitchen Appliance or Accessory that you will not Go RVing without? As you can see below we received some very diverse and interesting answers.

Bryan Green: CAST IRON SKILLET Is just a Crime to leave that at Home.

Stephanie Wade: My hot plate! I can not count how many times I have needed an extra burner.

Betty Rockenbaugh Johnson: Crock-pot! Dinner can be cooking will you are out exploring
Mary 'Porto' Sparr: Oh my gosh it's a toss up, the coffee grinder and the coffee press. Fresh ground coffee pressed to perfection...mmmm mmmm A definite necessity in our rolling home.

Karin Kroll Ross: Gas stove "toaster" (primitive version but good where toast leans against the metal prongs. Perfect for when we are boondocking. That and a battery operated blender.

Roger Wilson: My blender. Can't go RVing without Margaritas
Bryan Green: I guess first response is my Wife, cause she cooks inside and I out.

Gwen Kaminski Lawyer: Wine!!!!!!!!! Both kinds!!
Dan Callahan: Good Knives

Great Kitchen Appliance Ever Invented
by: SweetSandals

Instant Pot 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker

I wish I could get a photo up here, but get an Instant Pot electric pressure cooker. It takes the place of 7 other appliances. In a house or in a camper, it is a whole kitchen in itself. From 1-pot spaghetti to pot roast to even CHEESECAKE, this does it all. 60 years of cooking conventionally changed dramatically when I got this OMG appliance!

When it's cold.....
by: Michele from Ohio

Instead of using my propane to heat up our motorhome on those chilly nights, we now carry our electric EdenPure Heater. Works as an end table, small coffee table and an electric heater!

My Fav Kitchen Accessories
by: Maddihoo and Lou

When camping, I like to cook outside on the fire or grill unless weather is not having it! So I say, a cast iron Dutch oven, cast iron skillet and cast iron griddle. But also, being a bit of a diva, my Keurig, a toaster, margarita glass, martini and wine glasses. Enough for us and any who are near or pass by!

We love our 3-in-1 Breakfast Station
by: Anonymous

We would not leave home without our Nostalgia Electrics 3-in-1 Breakfast Station. We bought this for our RV and we love it. It is a Coffee Maker, Electric Toaster Oven and Griddle all in one compact unit. It fits on our RV's counter and saves a lot of space. By the way it is not just for breakfast. The Toaster Oven does small Pizzas and the griddle does great hamburgers and yes, it also does a great breakfast. We give it a 5 out of 5 Stars. We bought ours on Amazon.

Induction hotplate
by: Bob78759

I use an Induction (120v electric) hotplate instead of the RV's butane cooktop. It cooks quickly, but only the food and the pan used for cooking get hot. It uses the camp site's electricity, not the RV's propane, so it saves on fuel costs. It is small and light so it's easy to store and easy to move where convenient to use.

Don't leave home without it
by: Anonymous

One of the things that gets the most use when we are on the road is an electric skillet. We use it to cook outside and plug it in on the outside outlet of the camper. So useful for breakfast but also for the occasional fish frying or even poaching.

I agree
by: Anonymous

We bought a 36' fifth wheel about 6 months ago and we found a toaster oven for the roomier kitchen. I love it as I use the one at home a LOT. Our first trip out my hubby forget that we had to move stuff from the old trailer to our new FW. Anyway when our dinner guests showed up early, we ended up making a steak dinner in the toaster oven & potatoes in the micro. Turned out great - so gotta have that toaster oven!

Induction cooktop
by: Chris

We bought one of these portable cooktops from Bed, Bath and Beyond a couple of years ago for $99, including a small frying pan. It fits neatly into a standard size kitchen cabinet, and we now rarely use the propane stove! Best $99 we ever spent!

A Komodo style grill is a must for us (think Green Egg) and lump charcoal. Cooking perfection. I can even do a soufflé in it for a leisurely gourmet brunch.

Cast iron
by: Nadine Clayton

I love all my cast iron, but my favorite piece is the double sided grill/griddle. I use it indoors and out. It fits over the charcoal grill as easily as over the two burners on the stove, so even if I am boondocking, I have a large cooking surface. I also agree that the wine is equally critical in the kitchen!!! Cheers!!

by: Love our camper

plate caddy. I bought ours from pampered chef years ago and it's become my best friend. Hold foam plates, napkins, salt/pepper, plastic ware and a small container of toothpicks. Not so much for cooking but when packing things from inside to out, it's a great item!

Mandoline Slicer + Dicer
by: Mike & Lala

Mandoline Slicer + Dicer. We cannot imagine ourselves going back to slicing or dicing our veggies with a knife again! This has saved us a LOT of time, and tears (when slicing or dicing onions). It encourages to eat more healthy, and add more veggies into our meals!

Here is an image of a set similar to ours:
