Where Can I Get An Owner's Manual For My RV?

by Dusty
(Rock Springs, Wy US)

I'm new to the RVing World. I acquired a 1988 Fleetwood Tioga Arrow Motorhome; there is no Owner's Manual with it. I don't know how to operate anything. Can you tell me where I could get one, please!!!

Thanks So Much,

ANSWER: Greetings Dusty thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Let me be one of the first to welcome you to the Wonderful World Of RVing. As far as your being able to find an Owner's Manual for your motorhome. You can call Fleetwood Owner Relations Department at 800-322-8216 and see if they have an Owner's Manual available for your year and model RV.

I don’t know how much Fleetwood will charge you for an Owner's Manual. If Fleetwood can't help you; some owners of older RVs have had some luck finding RV Owner's Manuals On eBay.

Since you are new to RVing and probably have a lot of questions about RVing, I urge you to Search Our Website to find the answers you are looking for.

I am also going to take this opportunity to tell you about some books and videos that I highly recommend for new RVers.

Books for new RVers

All the Stuff You Need to Know About RVing By Robert G. Lowe: This comprehensive book goes into topics such as how to drive and tow an RV, how to hookup and unhook utilities from your RV, How to pack for a week or a month, how to maintain and winterize your RV, how to operate onboard systems properly and much, much, more. This one is a must-have for a beginning RVer.

The RVer's Bible: Everything You Need to Know About Choosing, Using, & Enjoying Your RV By Kim and Sunny Baker: Rather then me trying to tell you about this Gem of a book, here is a mini review from Library Journal "The Bakers (Desktop Direct Marketing, McGraw, 1995) have written the recreational vehicle guide they wished they could have read themselves ten years ago. They tackle practical concerns such as choosing the best RV, its mechanics, and things to do in it. The authors' experiences underline the importance of the safety tips they sprinkle throughout, along with occasional illustrations and checklists, loading pointers, and discussions of pests and crossing borders. There is even a section on RV equipment for the physically challenged. Enjoyable and clear enough for armchair travelers; for public libraries with large travel sections.?Alison Hopkins, Queens Borough P.L., Jamaica, N.Y.
