2011 Dutchmen Kodiak Trailer Recall
(Lincoln, CA USA)
We purchased our 2011 Kodiak Travel Trailer in May of this year. We pulled it home two days ago and were loading for a future four-week trip. We kept popping circuits. I googled Dutchmen Kodiak Recall and there it was. Voltage problems. I have been trying to find a site to run our VIN number to see if our trailer comes under this recall and specifies that the trailers recalled were built between September 2010 and December 2010.
Our trailer is still under warranty so regardless of the recall the dealer has to fix the problem.
I would still like to find a site to run our VIN number.
ANSWER: Hi Judy to my knowledge there is no website where you can input a VIN number of an RV and find out if there are any recalls or service bulletins on them. Your best bet to find out if your RV is under recall or if it has a service bulletin on it is to contact your RV Dealer or RV Manufacturer.
As you said; whether your RV is under recall or not the RV dealer is required to repair the problem you are experiencing because your RV is under warranty.
