Twice a year, for the past 4 or 5 years we meet with friends at Grande Hot Springs in La Grande OR. It is by far my most favorite place to go. Always clean and folks are nice.

We play golf at a great course at Buffalo Peak Golf Course (pictured at the top of this page) close by in Union.

For 3 or 4 days we have such a great time.

Their facilities will impress you, with 100 grassy, pull-thru sites, 30 & 50 amp service, tent sites, sparkling clean resort-style restrooms, and much more. The perfect stop on your vacation!

Grande Hot Springs Resort is the perfect destination for all types of travelers and offers you clean and comfortable RV and tent site accommodations. Their Warm Soaking Pool & Hot Soaking Pool are available to all registered guests (which is open seasonally May to September, and sometimes longer/call for availability).

Conveniently located beside historic Hot Lake Springs as well as on the Oregon Trail, the park is only a short drive from downtown La Grande and Union. Open year-round, it is also a great place to be if your desire is to explore ANTHONY LAKES or the EAGLE CAP WILDERNESS AREA of Wallowa County. Stay there once and you will always remember Grande Hot Springs Resort as your home-away-from-home in La Grande.

Healing Waters

Hot Springs hot mineral water is sourced from Hot Lake Springs. It is collected at 171F and pumped to the property and used to heat all the buildings on the property, heat our domestic water for showers, and used for soaking. Even our domestic well water is geothermal mineral water, coming up at 77F and used for showers, drinking, and mixed with the hot springs water.

Historically, when people visited the hot springs it was called ‘taking the waters’. That was because it was used for not only soaking but also drinking! Here at Grande Hot Springs, our domestic drinking water is from a geothermal 77F well which is tested regularly to meet state drinking water standards. That means you are welcome to stay & ‘Take The Waters’!

Our Mineral Soaking Pools (pictured at the top of this page) are open seasonally from May to September. The Warm Soaking Pool is maintained between 92-96F. The Hot Soaking Pool is kept between 102-104F.

Private hot springs soaking tubs are available at our yurts, which may be booked on Airbnb on our reservations page.
