How To Replace RV Awning And Slide Topper Fabric

by Anita Hartman
(Camden, IN - USA)

We are trying to replace the fabric on our slide out. Anyone know how to do this?

ANSWER: Greetings Anita thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Replacing the fabric on RV Awningsicon and RV Slide Toppers can be done by do-it-yourselfer RVers. The most expensive part of this process is the cost of the replacement fabric. If you buy the fabric directly from the Awning Manufactuer it will be a lot more expensive. eBay has the best prices that I have found for Awning and Slide Topper Fabric.

Since I don't know who manufactured your awning and what model you have I cannot give you the exact instructions for fabric replacement, but here are some links to the two most popular RV awning manufacturers. Dometic (formerly A&E) Awning Operation & Installation Manuals and Contact Carefree of Colorado to get Awning Fabric Replacement instructions.

I hope that this was helpful.
