I need suggestions for a mattress in my camper and also need gross weight of camper

by Aaron
(Angus, On, Canada)

It's a 15 foot up right camper called sunlite made in 1976. I am looking for the gross weight of the camper (empty), as well as any suggestions on higher density foam to sleep on compared to the original cushions.

Thanks

ANSWER: Greetings Aaron thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am afraid I do not know the empty weight of your camper. Hopefully one of our visitors can provide that information. I assume you have looked for placards and posters in your camper that might have that information on them. Sometimes these informational posters and placards can be found inside the cabinets of the camper itself. You might try looking around.

As far as your question about something softer in your camper to sit or sleep on; I can help you there you should look at Memory Foam. Memory Foam is very comfortable to sleep on. There are Memory Foam Mattresses, Mattress Pads and Pillows. These Memory Foam products come in all shapes and sizes and I am sure that you can find something that will work well in your camper.

One of the first things we did when we got our current motorhome was put a Memory Foam Mattress Pad in our bedroom. I hate to say it but, not all RVs come with the best beds in the world. Our bed was comfortable; if you consider comfortable sleeping on a slab of granite with a sheet on top of it comfortable. The Memory Foam Mattress Pad we put on it made all the difference in the world.

Hope this information helped.
