Interior and porch lighting does not work either off battery or when plugged into AC. All fuses and breakers are good. CO detector and furnace blower both work fine in either power state. I remounted all the grounds as well. What can be the problem? I am at a loss.
ANSWER: Hi Chris it sounds like you have done a very thorough job of trying to diagnose this problem. By the process of elimination you have eliminated the problem being caused by your house batteries and power converter as you do have power to your other 12 volt appliances when the RV is or is not plugged in.
Even though you believe you have checked all of the fuses and breakers in your RV, you may find out that you may have missed a fuse. I have seen RVs that have in-line fuses on their 12 Volt lighting circuits. You may have to recheck the wiring in your RV.
If you are comfortable using a multimeter you can use it to check for any shorts in that particular wiring system. If all else fails, your best bet to find the problem and maintain your sanity is to take your RV in and have a Certified RV Technician diagnose and repair your electrical problems.
