Mice Ate the Wiring on My RV's Air Conditioner?

by Ed Orsborn
(Grenada, MS)

Mice have eaten the wiring from my capacitors to the compressor and fan motor. I need to know how to rewire it.

ANSWER: Greetings Ed thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

Sorry to hear about your Coleman Air Conditioner problem. Your best bet is to Contact Coleman directly and see if they can provide you with the diagrams.

Once you have repaired the air conditioner I strongly suggest that you invest in an RV Air Conditioner Cover. Air conditioner covers can cost less than $20.00 and can prevent future damage to your RV Air Conditioner when your RV is in storage.

While you are at it you might want to read the answers I gave to How Do I Get Rid Of The Mice In My RV? and I Have a Mouse Problem In My Motorhome, How Do I Get Rid Of Them? to get some more information on how to prevent rodents from invading your RV.

I hope that this has been helpful.
