Hi all,
I've just bought an old Winnebago Elandan 87' and is costing me a fortune. It’s in the garage being serviced at the moment the bill will be in thousands. It looks like the generator has given up the ghost too. I have been told by the garage that the rotor has gone possibly the carburetor as well.
It's an Onan Emerald BGE 5.5 kw
Does anyone know a decent chap who can fix it at a reasonable price, or buy a second hand one.
many thanks. Skender
ANSWER: Greetings Skender thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
Unfortunately I am based in the US and really do not know about repair shops in the UK that can repair your generator or even where you could buy a used generator.
One thing I can suggest is that you go to the American Recreational Vehicle Club Website and join their forums. The ARVClub is based out of the UK and is for UK RVers who own US made RVs. You may get some good results if you post your request on their forums.
If any of our visitors have suggestions for you they can add them to this page by clicking on the add a comment link located near the bottom of this page.
Happy RVing
