I have a cigarette lighter socket in the camper portion of my conversion van that shorted out. There is a fan and many lights that do not work now. Apparently a fuse blew but I can't find it. Can you tell me where it is? 87 ford sport camper.
ANSWER: Greetings thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.
I will start off by saying that I am not familiar with your conversion van. But, I will give you some locations to look for the fuses.
1. Check the engine compartment and look at the fuse block located there.
2. Check underneath the dash of the van starting on the driver’s side and working your way to the passenger side. You may find some fuse panels there. If you have a glove compartment check inside there as I have seen some vans with a fuse block there. You may have to remove a cover to get to the fuses.
3. If you have any exterior compartments on the van check inside those compartments.
4. Look inside all of the cabinets that your van may have, sometimes conversion vans have a separate fuse block for all of the 12 volt accessories there.
I am also going to open up this question to our visitors. If any of them have any further suggestions for you they can add them to this page by clicking on the "Click Here To Post Comments" link located near the bottom of this page.
