ANSWER Greetings Bruce thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

I am going to open this question up to our visitors. Hopefully one of them can steer you to a source for these parts. I am afraid that when you are looking for manufacturer specific parts for an RV that is over 20 years old, you are going to run into problems.

In the mean time, I would suggest that you visit PopUpPortal.com and join their forums. This is an RVing site that has a lot of members that own pop up campers. You may find that one of the members there has information on a source for the parts you are looking for.

If they are unable to help you I would suggest contacting auto salvage yards in your area on the off chance that they may have a similar camper among their inventory.

I would also suggest you check with some machine shops in your area to see if they can modify some existing springs and make them workable for your needs or fabricate new ones. I afraid this option may be expensive

If any of our visitors have a suggestions on where to get these parts they can add them by clicking on the the add a comment link located near the bottom of this page.

I wish you the best of luck on your search. If you do come up with a solution to your problem, you might want to leave a comment on this page on how you resolved this problem, so that other Sunlite Pop Up Camper owners can benefit from your experience.

Happy RVing

RVing Al

Bed collapsed 1982 Sun Lite pop up
by: Stan

Where can I find parts to repair the slide out bunk for our "new" 1982 Sun Lite Pop Up camper? While sleeping, the bed slid out of the rails causing to to get bent up and collapsed, ripping the canvas too.

90's Sun Lite hard sided pop up
by: Vince

Hi there. I just bought a Sun Lite 90 Hard side pop up. Can anyone tell me if it was hard replacing the springs and bars? Or should it be done by a RV repair person? Also, any prices from the places commented? Thanks a bunch! Vince

springs and things

I have found the springs in a couple of different places as well as the lift arms. Here are links to the different sites:
http://canvasreplacements.com/
or
http://www.popupparts.com/
the lift mechanism is called the Hedo lift system.

springs for Sunlite Camper
by: George Mc

We have a 1990 Sunlite Taurus hardside. We found springs at Bullyan in Hermantown last year. Now, we are looking for one of the poles that helps to hold it up. It cracked in half over the winter. Any suggestions?

Springs
by: Anonymous

Bruce,

Call Palomino RV Parts at 269-432-9791. Their campers of that vintage had the same lift system. They sell new springs, arms, etc. The springs are about $30 each plus shipping......they will need to know the dimensions and the number of coils in your current springs.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me - dupreet@gmail.com
