Where Can I Get A Replacement Water Heater For A 1985 Winnebago Elandan?

by John
(NH)

Tank is leaking from underneath. Floor is ruined. How do I know what replacement water heater to buy? Third party owners. The only thing I know is it has an electronic ignition.

ANSWER Greetings John thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

There are all types of Replacement RV Water Heaters Available From Amazon that can be used to replace your existing water heater. Which one will work depends on the size of your current water heater compartment and the holding capacity of your current tank. You can look in your water heater compartment to get the information on what brand and model your current water heater is.

You can also contact Winnebago Industries by calling (800)-537-1885 or fill out their Information Request Form and ask them what brand and model water heater is installed on your RV. When you contact them you are going to need the complete 12 digit serial number of your motorhome, date of purchase and selling dealers name. If you do not have all of this information, you may still want to contact them and see if they can provide the information to you.

You can also take your RV to a qualified RV Repair shop and have them look at it and tell you what options you have.

From what you are describing, I am not sure that the water heater is repairable. If any of our visitors have further suggestions or tips for you, they can add them by clicking on the "Click Here To Post Comments" link located near the bottom of this page.
