Where is the fuse box on a 1993 Shasta trailer located?

ANSWER: Greetings thanks for submitting your question on our Ask An RV Question Page.

The fuses and electrical breakers for your trailer will be located in your trailer's electrical compartment. I cannot tell you the exact location of your trailer's electrical compartment, but it will be in one of the exterior storage compartments of your trailer.

Just look through your exterior storage compartments and you will definitely know when you find it. The electrical compartment on your trailer will also have your trailer's Electric Converter in it as well. The majority of 120 volt electrical breakers and 12 Volt fuses will be in that compartment.

You should also be aware; that depending on the model of Shasta trailer you have; you may also have some individual fuses and breakers scattered throughout the trailer. Sorry I cannot give you exact locations of those.

In the event that someone else out there owns a 2002 Coachmen Spirit of America and has the same issue I did, there is a 30A fuse that comes off the battery. I did not know this and spent quite a bit of time testing the power converter as well as all of the fuses and wondering why my battery was getting a charge, but I was getting no power on battery only. I had seen some articles/videos online that mentioned a possible breaker/fuse outside of the camper, but looked everywhere and could not find one. Eventually I spotted the small fuse box hanging down with the rest of the cables when I went to do one more test on the leads coming from the battery. I opened that little box up up and lo and behold, there was a 30A fuse that looked like it had both seen some water damage and some heat. The thing pretty much disintegrated when I tried to remove it from the box. Ended up replacing that whole fuse box because it was in such bad shape. I once again have power on battery only.

The breaker / Fuse box is located inside the RV. Look for the Panel located below the refrigerator. I found it only after removing all items in the storage area and taking off several wall panels. I Traced a heavy black wire to the back side of the Electrical panel.
